Where Did The Time Go???

Hey all -- I can't believe it's already Thursday and we'll be home in two short days:( This week has been just awesome, even the unplanned parts! Tuesday night was supposed to be the carnival night but there was some pretty bad weather up here so we ended up going to the basement of our cabins just to be safe. We thought the kids were going to take it pretty badly, but we ended up playing charades and having some hilarious sing-alongs...it honestly might be my favorite hour ever at camp, it was so fun!! After the weather cleared up they had a square dance so the kids could get some energy out and it was a great time! Yesterday was jam packed to make up for the things we missed on Tuesday, so it's been pretty busy! Here are some pics of what we've been doing:

Some of the girls gettin' down at the dance
Allison getting pied at the carnival
Team Strom at pirate night dinner
Rachel on the rock wall

Getting ready to go on the big swing

Emily with some of the program characters for the week
Scott and Hailey at the square dance
Andy didn't really know how he felt about the square dance
Patrick and Kristina having a great time!

So Many Fun Things To Do!!

Hello from Castaway day three! We are having such a great time at camp...so far the weather has been beautiful, there have been a ton of laughs, and we are keeping our days super busy with all kinds of fun new adventures! Yesterday we had a volleyball tournament, did some parasailing, and got to have an entertainment night! Today we woke up and played some field games, had a super fun impromptu dance party out on the lawn, and did some tubing! The week has been so crazy already but it's only just begun...how cool is that!?! Here are some pics of the past day and a half:

You Were Made For This!

Hello everyone back home! We arrived yesterday around 3:00 and were all super excited to get here! This is such a great group of kids and leaders, I know we are going to have a crazy good time together!

One of the moments I personally love most at camp is when we first arrive. When we pull into camp, there are 30 or 40 camp workers running alongside the bus to invite us into camp. Then when we stop the bus we come out to all of them in a tunnel giving us high fivcs, music playing, and the program team doing something really funny to set the stage for the week. It is SO great to see the smiles of our kids as we finally get off that bus and start our week after preparing for it for months! I was really hoping to post a short video of some of the kids getting off the bus but for some reason it won't load...I'll work on it and hopefully get it up later in the week.

We capped off the night with a run through the obstacle course which was a blast!!! I'm sure you'll hear all about it when we get home. We have a big day planned today...good thing we all got A TON of sleep last night (I actually think every kid is still sleeping as I write this at 8am...good stuff). Hope you all have a great Monday!

Valentine's Club

Long time no post, eh? Well...new semester, new vow to post events as they are happening instead of just at camp:) We started up club again at the end of January...boy was that a loooong break! It was so great to get everyone together again, and we are all really looking forward to a fun-filled spring semester. Last week we had our Valentine's club. Valentino came to visit, we did some fun games, and then got to hear Jameson talk about Jesus being the vine. It was a great night!!

Shannon and Kelly doing a relay
Is Maria running from Jameson??
Some brave kids bobbing for gummy hearts in whipped cream

Next week we will be gearing up and getting in shape for our Winter Olympics Club...I heard a rumor that Coach Thunder might be making an appearance, we better be ready!

Who Thinks They're Gonna Have More Fun Than Their Parents?!?!?!

Hellooooo parents!!

We arrived safely last night to Castaway Club around 10:30pm! We got all of our bags to our cabins and then headed to club. I was surprised that about half of our crew was not only at club, but dancing around and laughing like crazy! It was AWESOME!!! We were quick to bed after that though so that we coud rest up and have a great day today. Tomorrow we have some awesome stuff planned and it is gorgeous out! We have some yummy breakfast, club, yummy lunch, some field games and free time, and of course more eating followed by some more worship and club! I apologize, I am usually I'm pretty on the ball with taking pictures, but it just hasn't really happened yet. I will leave you to the view we are waking up to here, have a GREAT day back home:)

Cliff Notes...Again!

Hello again from beautiful Castaway Club!! I'm really sorry for the lack of posting and how short they all are! Here, again, is the past few days in reverse order...cliff notes style!

Conrad chugging an entire pitcher of water on stage at dinner
RRRRRRRR!!!
Allison and Celeste on pirate night
Jimmy and "Scotty too hottie" as the boys like to call him
Getting ready for pirate night
Lauren making it to the top of the rock wall
Nate leaving Vince in the dust
Kristen and Hannah scaling the wall
Aaron beating everyone at the dynamite dozen. He ate all of that in just over 4 minutes...and didn't throw up!
Yesterday we had the chance to go parasailing, which I will hopefully have time to post on tonight. If not, I will update when we get home...I'm guessing this last 24 hours is going to be pretty crazy, which is just the way we like it here at Castaway! Have a great night, we'll see all you parents tomorrow!!!
